Health Sector Pathways Program

Students interested in pursuing a career in the Health Sector are encouraged to apply for the Health Sector Pathways Program at Huron Heights Secondary School.  The program consists of a series of courses, experiences and certifications.  It will promote career awareness and knowledge of the health sector.  Options exist for those who plan to enter health related programs at College, University or move directly into the workplace. 

A fully equipped health science laboratory provides hands-on classroom training, while the program's community partners offer learning opportunities and work placements in the field.  Students will benefit from experiential learning opportunities with a variety of health sector employers and educational institutions which may include: hospitals, nursing homes, physiotherapy clinics, medical clinics and laboratories, optometry clinics, pharmacies, dental clinics, veterinary clinics, public health departments, colleges and universities.  

Students in this new Magnet program will obtain valuable work experience and develop the knowledge, skills and work habits needed to be successful employees in the health sector.
